As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both California and Utah, I enjoy working with people. I believe that change is always possible and that we all seek balance in our life. Together we will focus on real solutions and accessing personal strengths. Together we can generate healing and produce the transformation you want in your life. And together, we will develop a personalized approach to help you attain the healthy functioning you are striving for.
Therapy can assist you with identifying and exploring the obstacles that have been blocking you from experiencing the life you want and with resolving old issues or wounds that are causing you pain. It can be a courageous step to reach out to a mental health professional and initiate therapy. I hope you will take the first step in getting help by calling and setting an appointment today. I look forward to being part of your journey.
Areas of need that are common to seek out therapy for are Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Parenting Support, Grief, and Abuse. I use a variety of perspectives and interventions to join with you and help you work through ineffective patterns, difficulties, and interactions that interfere with you achieving fulfilling relationships.
As an addictions specialist, one area of expertise is in working with dual diagnosis, addictions and co-dependency. Via a highly compassionate, strength-based and evidenced-based approach, I will integrate mindfulness-based interventions to assist you to uncover, discover, and discard thinking and behavioral patterns that are blocking you from living the empowered and enriched life you desire.
I am also certified as a Substance Abuse Provider (SAP) to help drivers who are governed by Department of Transportation and have failed a random drug screen to complete the Return to Duty process and get back on the road.
Another area of expertise is in working with couples. I am a Gottman trained therapist and will complete a full assessment of your strengths. Together, we will target areas that need improvement and set a course for treatment. I will offer practical exercises and directives in each session, along with weekly assignments that allow for areas of activity between sessions. I will track and assess your progress relative to your goals so that you are always progressing to an endpoint of the therapeutic process. You will learn the ins-and-outs of productively managing conflict and be given methods to solve ongoing problems. My goal is to assist you in finding the beauty within your relationship so that you can continue to grow together toward a brighter future.
