Session Rates & Good Faith Estimate
SESSION RATES
One hour therapy sessions are $155 (up to 55 minutes of therapy). If you desire a longer session, these are available to schedule as well: 90 minutes is $225, and 2 hours is $305. I accept all forms of credit or debit cards and clients will be billed via Ivy Pay, a HIPAA compliant payment platform. If you need to cancel an appointment, I ask for 24 hours' notice. If I do not receive 24 hours' notice, I may need to charge the fee for the session time.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
In compliance with the No Surprise Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protections against "surprise billing." This Act states that you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. It is difficult to determine the true length of treatment for mental health care and each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate in mental health care.
In compliance with the No Surprise Act law, you will receive a fee schedule for the services typically offered by your therapist who will collaborate with you regularly to determine how many sessions you chose to attend. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
